North-East Baptist Church

North-East Baptist Church is  a growing church made up of over 300 adults and 150 young people. You will find people of all ages and several different cultures.

The Church building is located at 25 Chapel St, Nundah. We have two morning worship services on Sundays - at 8:30am & 10:30am. Our worship style is informal and contemporary but not 'over the top.' A children's talk is included. Our children's and youth ministry (catering for pre-schoolers to year 10) operate during the second half of each service. We seek to ensure the Sunday morning program for the children is of the highest standard.

Our Sunday night service, called enthuse, starts at 6:30pm. It is aimed at youth and young adults.

We are blessed to have a number of Karen, Karen, Kachin  and Chin former refugees from Burma in our church family. We seek to care for them through English language classes and general support.

We believe Church Small Groups for Bible study, fellowship and prayer are a very important part of being a follower of Jesus. Groups meet on various nights and days during the week.

Our Church is affiliated with the Queensland Baptists but we believe Jesus Christ is the head of our Church and we seek His will in our decision making.

We annually elect leaders, called Deacons, to make routine decisions on behalf of the Church.

Although we have a formal Church membership for those who want to commit themselves in that way, our family is open to all those who call Jesus Christ their Lord.

In essential matters of belief we seek unity, but in other issues we seek to accept and understand one another focusing on our own conduct and belief rather than that of others.

The Church was formed in late 1998 when the Nundah and Wavell Heights Baptist Churches joined together.
